Bronzed resin statue, finished by hand in each particular detail. Saint George (280 – 303 AD) is a Christian martyr saint from Cappadocia. Legend has it that, thanks to the power of faith in God and Jesus, he saved the people of the city of Selem in Libya from a gigantic demonic dragon that lived in a large lake. In this sculpture, represented by many famous artists such as Raffaello Sanzio, Tintoretto and Paolo Uccello, Saint George is represented in the act of killing the dragon with his halberd.
